  • Served as the Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
  • Represented the Department of Transportation and advised the Secretary on all matters relating to the functions under the various Legislative Acts for which the Administration is responsible.
  • Determined and established FMCSA’s program policies, objectives and priorities.
  • Served as Deputy Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
  • Provided executive direction and leadership to all NHTSA organizational elements, including
    development of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and National Highway Safety Policies.
